1. Rigid gas permeable
   Harder lenses which are required for correcting certain corneal problems e.g. kerataconas (conical thinning of the cornea)
   
2. Long-term soft contact lenses

3. Disposable soft contact lenses
   Daily disposable - new pair everyday, which is the healthiest option
   Fortnightly and monthly disposable, where overnight cleaning is required. Still a popular option which offers reasonable flexibility
   Continuous wear lenses (silicon hydrogel), which are a new generation of monthly disposable lenses which can be left in up to a month. They are the most convenient and are growing in popularity more than any style of lens
   Orthokeratology. Rigid lenses which you can leave in when sleeping, and allow clear vision for up to 2 days after. Used for short-sightedness and are ideal for anyone working in dusty environments.
