• examination to ensure clarity of vision and checks for myopia (short sightedness), hypermetropia (long sightedness), astigmatism (distortion in corneal curvature) and presbyopia (weakening of focussing ability due to aging)
• binocular vision assessment, including eye muscle control and amblyopia (lazy eye)
• stereopsis check (depth perception)
• colour vision check
• general eye health including monitoring for cataracts, glaucoma, retinal damage and assessment of diabetics
